Or play chess and traditional Tudor board games in our cosy lounge and library. The grounds and gardens of Thornbury Castle present a true breath of fresh air for the young and young at heart, and when the weather turns or nights draw in, the delicious dining options coupled with historic ghost stories amidst atmospheric surroundings are sure to keep everyone captivated until bedtime.

We welcome all children from the age of eight upwards, when they are most likely to appreciate all of the above, and the experience of staying in a ‘real live castle’.
